Hot Money
came together in late 2009, as a side project of five busy musicians, to learn
some "challenge songs" and "maybe play a couple of shows". After their debut
received such a positive response, they just kept adding music!
Brooke Jackson draws her rich, powerful vocal style from her
professional experience singing classical choral music and opera, plus
gigs in jazz, blues, and rock. She also enjoys picking up a guitar,
keyboard, horn, or violin when she can.
Morris Davis played both guitar and bass with The Contractions
for over a decade, performing in the U.S. and Europe. He feeds his live
performances a steady diet of fine artisan guitars.
Tom Carto is a trained music master who started piano at five
years old and ended up with a doctorate in music theory and composition. His
influences run deep in prog rock and classical music.
Jerry Neviaser, a founding member of Madison's Primitive
Culture Band, is a hard-drivin' drummer who's performed/recorded a wide range of
music over the years, including funk, blues, rock, R&B, reggae, latin, and
electronica.
Bruce Neviaser (no relation), also a founding member of Primitive Culture,
has experience delivering the low notes in Rock, Reggae, Latin, Funk, Blues, and
R&B. He's also one heckuva nice guy.
